Richard A. Miller, 82, of Longville, MN passed away at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, MN Friday, August 17, 2018.
Richard was born August 8, 1936 to Herbert and Virginia (Sauerberg) Miller in Chicago, IL. He served in the U.S. Air Force 4 years and was recognized as an Eagle Scout. He worked as a lineman for Commonwealth Edison in Illinois for 36 years before retiring in Longville, MN. Richard was a member of the Longville Community Church, where he had served as a deacon and had been a member of the Men’s Fellowship; he was a past member of the Longville Lions Club, and a volunteer on the Woman Lake Water Patrol. He loved to fish and enjoyed bowling; he was a big fan of college basketball and NASCAR.
Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Patty); sisters, Merrikay Armour, Marriann Vani; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Carol) McFalls, Michael (Sharon) McFalls, Kenneth (Cindy) McFalls; sisters-in-law, Julie Miller, Sherry Andersen, Carol Miller; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert; mother, Virginia; step-father, Edward Kipple; brothers, Kenneth Paternoster, Herbert Miller, Daryl Miller, Dean Miller; and brother-in-law, Raymond Armour.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Longville Community Church with visitation 1 hour prior. The Rev. Duane Brown will officiate. Midwest Cremation Association is providing arrangements. (www.midwestcremationassociation.com)
