Marlene Ester Engelke, age 78, born in Villard Township, Todd County, MN. most recently from Longville MN. Passed away on 05/09/2018 peacefully surrounded by family.
Marlene graduated from Motley High school in 1957, upon graduation joined the U.S. Airforce and was honorably discharged as Airman Third class in 1959. She was a homemaker, and very successful at her home based tupperware and rubbermaid business. She worked for Viking press in Eden Prairie from 1984 until 1994. Marlene married Wallace Engelke on May 21, 1993. Wallace and Marlene owned and operated the Corral Liquors, in Longville MN from from 1994 until their retirement in 2005. Marlene loved hunting, fishing, cooking and baking and time spent with family and friends.
Marlene is survived by her husband Wallace Engelke, one sister Jeanette Martin. Children Kevin (Virginia) Hughes of WA, Judy Abraham, of MN. Darwin (Julie) Hughes of NH, Mechille (Jeff) Phillips of TN, Jerry Dorman of WA. step-sons, Craig Engelke and Scott Engelke. 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. “One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth forever.” Ecclesiastes 1:4
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Ruth Killian, brothers Edward (Sonny) Killian, Gene (Butch) Killian, Roger Killian and sister Dolores Isaacson.
