Lloyd D. Nedved passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on May 20, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Park Rapids Mn. He was 80 years of age. He was born August 22, 1938 in Garner, IA to William (Bill) and (Jakoubek) Dorothy Nedved. Graduated in 1957 and lived most of his youth in Mason City, Ia., and later in Owatonna Mn., where he worked in the Twin Cities. He met his true love Pat, and they married in 1975. Moved to Nevis Mn in 1979 and operated Resort Content and The Anchor Inn on Lake Belle Taine for 18 years. He worked at the grocery store in Nevis until his retirement 10 years ago because of health issues. He dearly loved his trade and was very good at it! Many people will remember him for his venison sausage and homemade bratwurst. He worked his trade, a meat cutter, for 60 years.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, daughter Kelly; grandson Adam, step children Michael and Kelly Hendrickson, sister Esther, brothers-in-law Loren and Gordy Spinler, and aunts and uncles.
Surviving are his wife Pat, of 43 years, son,Don(Angelique)Kansas; stepsons: Jon (Cinde) Hendrickson, Arizona; Craig (Annalie) Colorado; Scott Lonsdale Mn. Brothers Cleteus (Carolyn), Fertile, Ia, Paul (Donna) Nisswa Mn; sister Carol,Mason City Ia.; sister-in- laws: Linda(Dean) Dauffenbach, Owatonna, and Donna, Austin Mn Grandchildren:
Drew, Dylan, Rochelle, Jessica, Eric, Sheena, Shawn, Stephanie ,Branden, Michael, and Alicia. Eight great grandchildren. A God son Chad (Veronica) Dauffenbach, Albert Lea Mn.
He loved to dance, listen to Old Time Music, fish and hunt. He will be missed by his favorite "Buddy", Snickers, of 10 years. Thank-you to the employees who attended Lloyd at Heritage Rest Home, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Care Age House, Dr. Leadbetter, Dr. Lageason, Pain Clinic in Baxter and Bemidji, Dr. Vahn, and the doctors of Mayo clinic. A special thanks to Woofy and Jeff Tams for their frequent visits to Lloyd. My boys and grand children who came home to help me get caught up with things. Love all of you.
There will be a private gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
