Karen Ann Compton, age 76, born May 12, 1941, died peacefully at her home on March 11, 2018.
Karen was born and raised in Walker. After high school Karen attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, met her husband Jack and worked many years at Honeywell. At retirement, she and Jack returned to Walker where they enjoyed life on the lake.
Karen was a fun, caring, generous person with a great sense of humor. She had a great love for animals, especially her Scottie dog Andy.
She will be lovingly remembered by: sister-in-law, Rosemary Ellis, niece Barbara (Jerry) Canfield, niece Shawn (Troy) Smith and many great nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Compton; parents: Orville and Agnes Ellis; her brother Newell Ellis; nephew, Mitchell Ellis and her niece, Carla Ellis.
A private family service will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Memorials may be given to Paws & Claws Animal Shelter in Hackensack, MN.
