Peggy Lou KingApril 15, 1933 ~ July 5, 2017 (age 84)
Peggy, a long-time resident of the Red Lake area, died peacefully on Wednesday the 5th of July at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN. Born on April 15th, 1933, Peggy attended Lincoln Elementary school in Nymore and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1951. Peggy moved to Minneapolis and married Archie Sr. while beginning a career as a para-professional in education, where she worked at the Irving Elementary School. In 1981, Archie and Peggy moved to Red Lake where she continued her para-professional career at the Ponemah Elementary School. Peggy loved to travel and had many wonderful memories of all of her adventures. Among her other interests were: Amateur artist, photographer, busy bowler, gardener, Bingo, crossword puzzles, golfing, flying, fishing and hunting, playing the piano, and driving her car or truck.
Proceeded in death by her husband Archie King, Sr. son Ernest William and son Patrick Gordon, she is survived by Children: Michael Wayne (Katharine) King; Sherry Lee King; Archie Jr. (Annette) King; Kristi Ann King, Grandchildren: Heidi (James) Inman; Jennifer (Jon) Minner; Heather Ardason; Ari (Heather) King; Jodi (John) Strickland; Selena King; Lisa (Robert) King; Kaylene (Phillip) Strong; Susan (Tim) Gassman; Derrick (Amanda) King; Jamie Wiberg; Caroline Eyre; Tiffany (Brandon) King; Karita (Paul) Strong; Archie King, III; Christopher King; Dennis (Mollie) Banks; Cory (Felicia) King, along with 38 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Redby Community Center at 11:00 am on Monday July 10th.
