Alexander Andrew Cadwell, 17, of Red Lake, MN, died at his home Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Alex was born January 12, 2000 in Duluth, MN to Jeremy Ed Cadwell and Lily Joy Goggleye. Alex loved his brothers and sisters, and had a lot of hope for all of them. He possessed respect for himself and others; he was peaceful, very loving, kind, and generous. He was a smart and handsome, bright boy with a loving soul, who had many dreams and goals. Alex liked to play sports but he loved hunting and fishing. He especially cherished his family and his dog, Bic-gundis, and took pride in being a Native American boy.
He is survived by his parents, Lily and Jeremy Cadwell, Sr., Alice and Chip Robinson; brothers, Darwin Robinson, Reginal Robinson, Jeremy Cadwell, Jr., Stanley Robinson, Avery Cadwell, and Terrance Cadwell; sisters, Alicia Goggleye, Delores Robinson, Nicole Robinson, Darrin Cadwell, and Jade Cadwell; grandfather, Edgar Cadwell; numerous aunts and uncles; and honorable mention, his biological father James Gibertson.
Preceding Alex in death were brother, Andrew Goggleye; grandparents, Loretta Robinson, Archie Robinson, Sr., Sally May, Elva Cadwell, Charles Johnson, Carol Goggleye, and Darius Goggleye; and uncle, Owen Robinson.
A traditional wake will begin on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Red Lake, Minnesota Community Center and will continue on June 30, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Inger Community Center, Inger, MN until the traditional service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 with Steve Jackson serving as spiritual leader. Burial will be in the Tuttle Cemetery, Winne Dam, MN.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Robinson, Darwin Robinson, Jeremy Cadwell, Jr., Simon Garbow, Waylon Lanham, Maurice Goggleye, Byron Goggleye, and Jeremy Cadwell, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Delton Buckanaga, Thomas May, Derick Spears, Dillon Johns, Vincent May, Patrick “Sunshine” Benjamin, Dre Wells, Charla Ceionety, Reginald Robinson, Dale Johns, and Charles May II, and Xavier Sayers.
