Ann Marie St. Marie, 81, of Walker, Minnesota passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Golden Living Center. Ann was born September 15, 1930 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan to Raymond and Hattie (Storm) Bradburn. Ann’s family lived in various places in Wisconsin and Minnesota during her growing up years. She met Louis St. Marie while working at a root beer stand in Fridley and they were married February 12, 1952 in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. They continued living in Spring Lake Park where they raised their five sons. Ann worked as the bookkeeper for their family sheet metal business, and also volunteered at Unity Hospital. She was a member of the Cootie Pup Tent #1, and was “Blossom” in the Cooties Crummy Clowns group which brought entertainment and encouragement to people that were hospitalized. She was also a member of the Kraus-Hartig VFW Post #6587 Women’s Auxiliary in Spring Lake Park, and the Spencer-Ross American Legion Post #134 Women’s Auxiliary in Walker. In 1993 Ann and Louis retired to Benedict, and following Louis’ death in 2004, Ann moved to Walker. She was also a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Walker. Ann was a phenomenal cook and hostess and lived life with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading and loved music, particularly classic rock n roll and “rat pack” music. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, an involved grandmother, and a wonderful mother-in-law. Ann is survived by four sons; Paul (Linda), Keith (Brenda), Todd, Tony, six grandchildren; Kristi (Brian), Roxanne, Kevin (Jessica), Skylar, Heather (Dave), Carrie (Eric), seven great grandchildren; Jesse, Madison, Savannah, Alexis, Waylon, Frank, and Isaac. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis; and son Bruce. Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker. A Gathering Time for family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M. and run until time of service. Inurnment at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls will be held at a future date.
