Mary was born June 28, 1929 at home in Hubbard County, Minnesota to Margaret Jane Proffit and Owen William Baldwin, the second of seven children. After their divorce she remarried Leslie Showalter in 1964 and they had two children; Mary Beth, and Leslie, Jr. Mary loved to garden, cook, can, pick berries, make jelly, raise chickens, fish, play cards, and visit. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and would beam whenever she could spend time with them. Everyone that knew Mary said she was such a loving, caring lady… and that she was! She had a very soft heart and enjoyed helping people any way she could. She will be dearly missed.
